Bring yourself back to the present moment.

How we handle our inner life determines the quality of our life.  Much of our day may be spent replaying encounters in our mind, rehashing mistakes or fearing something about the future. The Dalai Lama once said “with our thoughts we create our world.”

Sometimes these automatic thoughts are very distorted and upsetting. It is good to stop every now and then and recognize what is going through your mind. Set your phone to go off at different intervals during the day and see what you are thinking about.  Bring yourself back to the present moment by taking three deep breaths. Pausing in the present moment helps us to live our life on purpose and experience more joy. #mindfulness #happiness
