Feeling Good Enough and Worthy of Love- how can we feel this way? We are bombarded with images and stories of people who are prettier, richer, more successful and more popular than we are. We end up comparing ourselves and feeling like we are “less than.” This leads to depression. We try to make ourselves feel better by finding people to compare ourselves to who are not as pretty, rich, successful or popular as we are. This is a very fragile existence. How can you feel love and compassion for yourself and a sense of worth JUST AS YOU ARE? Working with a therapist you can learn to feel love and compassion for yourself and free yourself from the COMPARISON TRAP.
We may find ourselves at a time in our lives where we feel lost, looking for meaning and fulfillment. We may have suffered the loss of a loved one or experienced a major life change bringing us a feeling of isolation, depression and boredom. Working with a therapist you can grieve your losses and explore your inner desires leading to a new and fulfilling change. Most people experience these times in their lives.
Many of us have had painful childhood experiences. Some of us have been physically or emotionally abused. Some of us were left on our own with no direction. Deep inside we may feel unlovable, worthless or ashamed. We may have developed coping mechanisms that are now causing us difficulty in our current relationships. Working with a therapist can help you to develop love and compassion for yourself and improve your relationships.
